What is a hair transplant?
A hair transplant moves healthy hair follicles from the back and sides of your head — the donor area, which is naturally resistant to balding — to areas where hair is thinning or has been lost. Most UK patients stay 3 days, and new growth appears from around month 4, with the full result at 12 months or later.
What can it treat? A receding hairline, a thinning crown, bald patches, and beard or eyebrow loss. A transplant does not stop natural hair loss elsewhere on the scalp, so planning takes into account how your hair may change over the coming years.

FUE, Sapphire FUE or DHI — which technique is right for me?

RESULTS
What is recovery like after a hair transplant?
Day 1–10
A tight, slightly swollen scalp for a few days; small scabs form and shed. First wash is done with our team before you fly home on day 3.
Week 2–8
“Shock shedding” — transplanted hairs fall out. Completely normal; the follicles stay and reset. Avoid heavy exercise for the first month.
Month 3–6
New growth begins — usually from around month 4 — and thickens month by month.
Month 12+
Full density and final result for most patients, though it can take up to 18 months — with photo reviews at 3, 6 and 12 months from our follow-up team.
SAFETY
What are the risks of a hair transplant?
A hair transplant is generally a safe procedure, but it is still surgery. We recommend reading the NHS overview of hair transplants alongside your free analysis.
Common and expected
A tight, achy or swollen scalp for a few days, temporary scabbing, some numbness, and temporary shedding of transplanted and nearby hair in the first weeks.
Less common
Infection or inflamed follicles (folliculitis), some grafts not taking, visible scarring in the donor area, and a thin-looking donor area if too many grafts are taken.
Rare
Bleeding and allergic reactions to the local anaesthetic. Hair that was not transplanted may also continue to thin over time.

NHS and hair transplants
Hair transplants are cosmetic surgery and are not available on the NHS, so UK patients go private either way.

Does a hair transplant hurt?
The only discomfort is the initial local anaesthesia, which can be done needle-free with a pressure device. The procedure itself is painless — most patients watch films or nap during the session.
How long do I need to stay in Antalya?
Three days is usually enough: arrival and consultation, the procedure itself, then a check and your first wash with our team before you fly home on day 3.
When can I go back to work?
Many patients return to desk work within a week, once swelling settles. If you prefer the scabs to have gone first, plan around 10–14 days off — the NHS suggests 1 to 2 weeks.
When can I exercise again?
Gentle walking is fine straight away. Avoid heavy exercise, swimming and anything that makes you sweat heavily for the first month, so the grafts can settle and scarring is kept to a minimum.
Is the result permanent?
Transplanted follicles come from the donor zone that is genetically resistant to balding, so they are permanent. Existing non-transplanted hair can continue thinning, which is why we may recommend supportive treatment to protect it.
Can I have a beard or eyebrow transplant?
Yes. Beard, moustache and eyebrow restoration use the same DHI precision on a smaller scale, planned after a free photo assessment.
Is the hotel included?
No. Your package covers the procedure, VIP transfers, your first wash, an aftercare kit and follow-up. Hotel nights are booked separately, and we can arrange a hotel close to the clinic for you.
